VALERIE IMPERIAL, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Imperial was born in Montreal, Canada. Her family then settled in Houston, Texas. She earned her B.S. in biology and chemistry at University of Houston, then went on to Baylor College of Medicine, where she attended medical school and did her internship. She completed residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She joined PIWH in 1997. (read more)

MAEVE FELLE, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Felle was born and raised in Maine, but came across the country to study environmental biology at the University of Colorado. She then received her MD from the University of Texas and returned to Colorado to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado. (read more)

Meet Dr. Felle

VERA W. BRINK, M.D.

Dr. Brink (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. After completing a year of high school in Virginia as an exchange student, she returned to the US to study biology at Yale University. Drawn to the mountains, she then moved to Utah with her partner and attended the University of Utah School of Medicine for her MD. She completed her residency training at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago and is excited to be moving back to the mountains with her family, joining PIWH in 2022. Her clinical interests include all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, with special focus on adolescents, contraception, and minimally invasive surgery. In her free time, Dr. Brink enjoys the outdoors with her partner and two young children. She loves canyoneering, backpacking trips, skiing and bells.

EMILY MAJURE P.A., C.

Emily Majure, PA-C is a Denver native who was delivered by PIWH founder, Dr. Aptekar. She studied environmental biology at the University of Colorado – Boulder then received her MMS in Physician Assistant studies at Arcadia University. She has a passion for contraceptive management, general gynecology, and preventative care. Emily spent the last nine years in family practice and is excited to return to women’s health. It is a wonderful full circle story for Emily to be joining the practice that was with her from the very beginning!

KATHLEEN WAGNER, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner / Certified Nurse Midwife

Katie grew up in Michigan and received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from University of Michigan. She began her nursing career working as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse at Children’s Hospital in Chicago. After three years, Katie found NICU nursing to be both mentally stimulating and emotionally draining, leading her to try labor and delivery nursing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and she fell in love with it! After working in labor and delivery for three years, she decided to go back to school to become a nurse-midwife. Katie and her husband moved to Washington DC, where she received her Master of Midwifery degree from Georgetown University. Upon graduating, they relocated to Denver, and Katie has been a nurse-midwife since 2005. Katie believes having a child is a life-changing experience and she considers herself very lucky to work with women and families during this pivotal time.

ERIKA ARCENEAUX, M.D.

Dr. Arceneaux was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She then received her medical degree and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Dr. Arceneaux is joining PIWH in September 2022. Her clinical interests in general obstetrics and gynecology include preventative healthcare, minimally invasive surgery, and contraception– focusing on giving her patients the information they need to make decisions that are right for themselves.

Dr. Arceneaux and her husband are looking forward to exploring Colorado and its many outdoor activities. She enjoys hiking, birdwatching, as well as discovering new breweries and restaurants.
